For this project we had to build a 10' plastic inflatable sculpture with a group. My group was two of my good friends, Jacob and Tanner, and I. This project had to be a memorial. So we built a giant back projected television (you know, a big box TV); to memorialize all the old technology that seemed so fantasical at its debut, but today seem like rubbish antiques.
This television ended up being 10 panels of plastic. It was 10'x10'x8'. We used a different plastic for the screen portion since we actually back projected something from the inside of it. Tanner made the projection since he was in Video Art this semester as well.
And despite not having a fan to test out our design, it turned out well.
Note: It was stupid ridiculous working with my friends. We are all super procrastinators despite efforts to get us all in there during daylight hours. I love them to bits, but as a work team, we suck. Don't do groups with your friends kids, you get distracted way too easily from the task at hand. We did get it done though, and it turned out well.
I don't happen to have a picture of this one, which is why I didn't think I should post this. But what the hey, we did five projects, so here's my fifth post.
